Minimum qualifications and skills
- Grade 12/ NQF Level 4
- Relevant certificate in construction hand
- Valid Driver’s licence
- Repair and Maintenance Tasks.
- Handling of mechanical equipment (once trained and certified)
- Strong technical knowledge.
- Able to read a survey plan and construction plans

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
- Preferability 2 years relevant underground mining experience in a similar role
- Ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment.
- Help coordinate employee schedules and time clocks.
- Regularly check and identify issues such as mechanical failure or breakdowns.
- Detect and report the need for major maintenance repairs.
- Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment or materials.
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
- Compliance and application of Sect 22 and 23 of the Mine Health and Safety Act
- Timely report major maintenance repair
- Help coordinate subcontractors as needed.
- Aid with all other tasks as instructed by the Manager
