Funza Lushaka Bursary For 2026
Requirements
- Must be a South African citizen with a valid ID number.
- Must be 30 years old or younger to apply for the first time.
- Demonstrate a strong academic record.
- Be enthusiastic about a teaching career, willing to work with young people, and committed to teaching in any school as placed by a Provincial Education Department (PED).
- Be accepted into an approved B.Ed. degree or PGCE program at a public university, specializing in two or more priority subjects.

To register and apply for the Funza Lushaka Bursary here are the following easy steps should be followed:
- Open the e-Gov portal at www.eservices.gov.za
- Register by providing personal information
- Login to the system using user name and password created when registering
- On the e-Services Menu select Funza Lushaka Bursary Scheme
- Enter the OTP received on the preferred channel
- Accept the Terms and Conditions
- On the dashboard menu click on the 2026 application button
- Follow the steps to complete the required field with your information
- Accept the declaration to confirm the information captured
